Practical support for networks and teams navigating complexity

What We Offer

We accompany networks, organizations, and funders who host spaces to collectively imagine and actively shape thriving futures.

We partner with leaders to steward generative collaborations through relational processes focused on connecting, learning, and co-creating positive impact.

  • Change emerges from people connecting, learning, and co-creating around shared purpose.

We bring practices of systemic listening, participatory design, and skillful convening facilitation. We use a relational approach that weaves relationships and engages participants in the content. We can lead the process or mentor your team so that a few days together generates waves of action.

→ Ask us about transforming conferences into participatory events and convenings that elevate learning, futures, or SystemsCraft.

  • How can your network become more generative, leaderful, and dynamic?

We offer customized coaching to strengthen capacities of network leaders and teams to steward impact networks. Together we design processes to amplify engagement, facilitate collaboration, communicate systemic narratives, measure health, and sustain minimum viable operations.

→ Ask us about amplifying impact through compelling narratives, capable coordination, and consistent contributions.

  • We accompany funders launching and investing in impact networks.

We can jumpstart your foundation’s network investment practice and help you assess high potential impact networks.  We offer process support to engage diverse stakeholders in participatory co-design vibrant networks ready to shape systemic change.

→ Ask us about assessing network health, developing network roadmaps, and what to expect when investing in or launching networks.

  • Grow your network leadership through practical, experiential learning.

We offer 3-day, 8-week, and 10-month participatory learning journeys to leaders from around the world. Our approach deepens relational capacities necessary for shaping systemic change. We build capabilities to engage diverse stakeholders, facilitate dialogue spaces, navigate complexity, and co-create impact through collaboration.

Ask us about online cohorts and in-person customizations of the Network Leadership Series and becoming a Bopa DiPeo Fellow.

  • Do you need continuity? We’re prepared to step in.

Relational spaces quickly turn cold without tending. When you want to maintain momentum, we offer part-time, interim support to networks, coalitions, and collaboratives in times of transition or temporary leave.

Ask us about short-term coordination, executive search, and roadmap development.

  • Let’s spark creative learning exchanges at your next event.

Invite us to share fresh perspectives punctuated with true stories, embodied experiences, games and conversations. We’d love to make your next retreat or conference more inspiring, memorable, and relational.

Ask us about keynotes or bespoke workshops.

What Emerges When We Work Together

  • Circle Generation’s focus on expanding network leadership development capacity is critical to global well being and systems transformation. I know of no other organization that has their level of skill in collaboration and learning and also has a global majority lens. I highly recommend them!

June Holley, Founder of Network Weaver

  • Collaborating with Circle Generation has driven significant systemic change in our early-stage finance ecosystem. Their innovative and compassionate approach helped us enhance our stakeholder engagement skills and strengthen relationships within our sector which improved our ability to tackle complex challenges effectively. Circle Generation's emphasis on open communication and collaborative problem-solving built trust, leading to more productive partnerships and a more cohesive ecosystem.

Zee DeGirsigney , Head of  Investments, FSD Africa

  • It’s rare in this field to have lead consultants from the Global South. Nono is an eloquent speaker with deep experience in Network practice. The way she shares her passion and learnings from her journey in this work is important for network leaders. Carri is one of a very few in the field who understands how to bridge paradigms across the fields of networks, systems change, and organizations to inform effective network practice. She is very intentional about responding to people's needs in ways that fit their context and current situation. Carri offers a variety of structures and approaches for different circumstances, and has a beautiful way of using metaphors to make complex concepts intuitively accessible which opens pathways to collective action.

Brendon Johnson, Chief Catalyst,  Fito Network

  • The Network Leadership Series significantly enhanced my ability to coordinate a network based on principles of trust, relationships, shared purpose, and meaningful collaboration, ultimately driving greater impact. The lessons I learned not only improved my coordination skills within networks but also enhanced my overall approach to working with groups of any size.I highly recommend Circle Generation and the team of Carri, Elsa, and Nono to anyone seeking to maximize their organization's impact through stronger network leadership.

Baqir Bayani, Global Partnerships and Refugee Participation Lead at Asylum Access

  • Having monthly meetings with Nono has provided the mentorship that I've been looking for. She is thoughtful, and attentive, and offers guidance with compassion. When I first started in this field, I was very new and felt uncomfortable asking even the simplest questions. Nono was always there to provide corrections and offer guidance when I made decisions that could have been handled differently.

–Michanda Myles, Network Manager, DC Social Justice Transformations Network

  • Carri gave me a much greater appreciation about the degree to which a set of interrelating contexts informs the way that we think about the development of our organization. She shared language and conceptual framework that shifted us from thinking of the company as something mechanistic to thinking of it as a living organism in a process of growth and transformation. I cannot emphasize enough how important this perspectival shift was for us. Carri brings an encyclopedic understanding of how to design networks. Her combination of character and ability are what I appreciate about collaborating with her.

Gabriel Kram, CEO Hearth Science and Restorative Practices Alliance

  • You agreed to bravely seed an experiment that none of us were sure how it would unfold. I appreciate and treasure that over these past two months you’ve given me a new way of thinking about pretty much everything--but most importantly, about people. It all boils down to people. I’ve realized how stuck I had been in an old paradigm. You were human in your approach, allowed me to hear you, and also gave me space to realize things on my own.

Julie Uridill, Program Lead, Google Vitality Lab

  • It was such a joyful experience spending time together and learning from you. Some orchestrated magic went on at our network convening that I don’t fully understand, but do feel like I absorbed. It was present in your way of being, in the attention to detail, the calm pivots, gentle nudging, and spirit of generosity. I am very much looking forward to picking up our collaboration over the next year.

Sue DeWitt, Research Associate, Collaborative for Frontier Finance

  • Elsa brings a combination of depth and lightness, generous presence and clear focus, and wealth of relevant knowledge. She was essential in shaping the foundations of what is now "Regenerative Evaluation". Through her presence, I could gain clarity on fundamental principles and worked out the key questions to ask myself and others. Her systematic background research is a resource I draw on up to this day. Elsa’s support enabled us to understand the key dynamics and how to shape them in a constructive way to deliver a strategy that the network of foundations still uses as a central document for internal guidance. I enjoyed every bit of our collaboration.
